I'm thinking that this guy accidentally hit the #4 button instead of the #1. The 4 is directly above the 1 on a square 9-digit keypad. He had to have meant $18,500. Right? I mean....right?

As a buyer (not until next spring) I sure hope the prices are not going in this direction yet. Otherwise I'll be looking at used Caymans instead (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The problem with that is that Caymans are still in their downward spiral value-wise. 914s are ascending. Which side of that curve is more important to you?

And that is partly why I have not made that change. Btw, I had a 2001 boxer S for 3 years and really liked it. But I sold it and kept the 914, partly due to the IMS issue and knew that I was going to spend 5k on clutch tune and IMS at the 90k mile point. And I didn't want to shell that out. I paid $12,500 drove it and put 30k miles on it at sold it for what I paid for it. Kind of wish I'd kept it but I know that the 914 will increase in value , boxer not.
