Off the market - Got cold feet. I just love driving this car. Can't give it up at the moment.

Thanks to all who inquired. I appreciate you all. I may change my mind at a later date or take these parts and build a very nice street -6 when I feel done with the pointy end of the autocross field.

I am EDIT (NO LONGER) selling my very fast and very light 1973 Porsche 914-6 conversion -- Purpose Built Autocross Car and dual axle trailer

Details and photos can be found at the link below. I am located in Santa Clara CA 95051 and will assist in shipping if desired. I am trying to move into DSR racing and would be including related bits that may not be included in the extensive list I have at the link below. This is a multi-year first place autocross car. If you want to step into a TTOD car with nothing to do but buy tires/gas and race, this is the car for you.

PM with phone number please

Wow. Smoking deal for what looks like an incredible car to drive. The smile under your helmet tells the whole story. My days of purpose-built race car are over--if this was even marginally streetable I'd be writing you a $19.5K check right now.

Thank you, sir. It is a blast to drive. You know, someone could easily take all the -6 and go fast bits off of this car and put them on a street car shell. That would probably be the least expensive 6 conversion one could do. I never thought about that. You could make a 914-6 conversion for a few thousand dollars more than just buying a good 4 cylinder 914.

You would be surprised. It was built for longevity and just happens to be wicked fast too. Heck, it started out like this.

Thanks. It was a different kind of cool when younger but weren't we all. Though, it matured into a fine beast of a purpose built car.

Yea, it is much lighter and went from street car to autocross monster. But, as I said, you could easily make the former from a roller and my car. Transfer all the parts and drive off. It's all there sitting in front of you, working, so you just move the stuff over. It really is easier than it looks. I've had a few and it's just nuts and bolts.

I built the one with the white wheels you see there from one left out to pasture, under a tarp for a couple of decades. Not a spot of rust on her, though. Someone should pick it up if for the $70K in parts alone. I have $7K in the trans of this thing. Around $28K in the engine... etc. It adds up quick.
