Have you seen this Nor Cal car on Ebay...Let me know if you need a PPI done as I live only 30 minutes from there. Real 914-6 Signal Orange, Steel flared but non-original engine.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-914-914-6-...em=141805120143

Looking closer at the car, I think this is/was August 2015's COTM, previously owned by(914 username) laflaur ?

No disrespect meant to the ebay seller, but I suspect he bought it last month and is now flipping it.

Pelican linky linky

Pity really: I saw laflaur's post on pelican in August, and PMed him there just a couple of days later (and via 914world soon after). I never heard back, presumably too slow...

Still, for everything a reason: meant that I moved on to other options (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif)

It is John's car. And it is being flipped...

I think real /6s will soon be VERY hard to find and buy of any stripe. The conversion cars will follow shortly after that, especially the tastefully done ones.

Closing out this thread, thanks to 914world a few weeks ago I became the owner of a /6 conversion.

David was a pleasure to deal with as a seller: helpful, open and flexible.

Normally Thanksgiving weekend is cause for celebration.. Not for me this year as it is slowing the shipping process for my new car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yawn.gif)

So for now it is secure in a warehouse in Houston:

Once the car lands in the UK I will start a new thread to document what I have planned next for this light ivory car from Texas...

Beautiful car! Hopefully it stays safe in the warehouse and makes a safe trip across the pond. Congrats to both you, the buyer, and the seller!

Since you were searching for a GT, are you going to put flares on?

Hey, I see a Delorean back there.

The car has been in storage all year while I collected parts and spent hours looking at pics of GTs, dreaming and saving.

However with it due to go to Wales for its transformation next month - I could not resist the temptation to take it out this weekend in the December sunshine.

A tad smug, I grant you:

But as you can see, it was not just me feeling quite pleased (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It is always good to see a happy new owner. Also good to see the little ones getting infected with car fever.
