So there was a recent thread where there was serious 'take the rocker covers off and check your longs' finger wagging going on.... so I did...

Background: I got the car 8/2012, from Cali, a Palm Springs car its whole life. The car had/has very little rust, and is very original.

I'm fairly certain that the covers have never been off in the life of the car....
this is what I found:

Drivers Side:

This is the road tar and sand and whatever was caked in there! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)

Passenger Side:

So the rivet holes on the passenger side sill are rusty, and I'll clean those up and primer/paint.
Overall the longs look great, and I'm happy to see them so clean and rust free. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
