Got a power assisted steering column from an 05 equinox $50 at a junkyard. EBay has a kit that controls it. You can dial in more or less feel it's 75 shipped. Not a bad deal

Well it's been a few days of this is shit and let's redo this and then let's redo it again but the front end suspension cradle is starting to take shape . I am looking about 4-5 inches wider in the front with a 275 tire

Neat PS controller....

For the suspension, how do you know how to set it up? As is in are the arms // with the ground or angled fore or aft or?

Thank you the bottom of the ps column fits right on top of the vette. So all I have to is mate it to the porsche sterring wheel and wire! Kinda neat very simple, very cheap solution. Though I will be taking all the accessories off the engine now save the alternator which is good. More space, but now I need inline water pump money

I burrowed my buddies c6 vette and measured it. I have read the anti squat angle is anywhere from 7-9-15 degrees. My default is 8.9 and zr1 is 8.9 degrees. Though alot of people say you can change it for this and that I will be keeping it in the stock location. I know very little about suspenson and doubt i will improve on it. But from the front it angles downward. i did not measure the angle on his car but he is coming over soon again so I will get his car on a flat surface and then measure it. Then measure it again and figure it out mathmatically so I know I am dead on(close). the whole front assembly I am welding 4-1/2 inches from the bottom of the mid cradle. The car should have about 5 inches of clearance with my tire combo. I just need liberty walk to come through with some flares...that are probably more then my entire build...lol

Well this is the second time doing the passenger and there will be a third things go crooked when they get hot. Progress has been slow but I am having progress. I did get 100ft of 1-1/2 DOM and my bender in. Learning a lot...like I need a chassis jig ...lol

Take a look at the Locost 7 builds on google. They get away with using some pretty small square tubing. If anything it'll give you some more ideas. Just one motherfuckers 2cents.

Lmao thanks will do! I do like that site. I do think a birdcage style car would be really cool. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

I am going to try and tack weld in my bracing up I have cut out for this. Plus some extra I will cut out later. I do need to do the passenger side again though. Not too much just need to relax and move slow.

Yeah, Locost 7 builds get my blood flowing, lots of great ideas that can be transfered over. I've been contemplating using my 951 track car as a donor for a build. Bought the book, but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger after a day of autoxing in a car that works well.

Ok the front is almost done. Took A LONG time of do's and redo's and still need to add some stuff but the bones are played and just the front is completely square. Been busy with Autumn and work stuff but hopefully I can get some time in. I decided to go with 255.up front. I thought the stock tire was 25 inches and these are 25.4. Anyway I think they will look great when done.

Anyways this project is back on....currently. I ran into some personal issues and could not complete car on time. So what I have learned is I cannot figure out the suspension points. So I bought some frame rails. Really great idea after endless hours of searching. I finally said fuck it and spent the 300 on front and rear. Here the car is coming out of storage
