We are remaking these like OEM with correct undercuts and will be the same nylon material as OEM

Before I jump on the band wagon here, can someone tell me what the functional purpose of these "little cups" are? I had originally planned on welding mine shut.

It's where the targa top front hood latches sit. You can't put your top in the rear trunk without them

These cups are where the roof hardware "dangles". I suspect it was less expensive for them to make these in plastic than steel. That and they knew water would pool in them if there was a leak, so they would not rust (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
