Would be easier to check in on them if they were all in one place.

Sounds like a reasonable solution to a growing problem.

If they're in a separate forum many people will never see them.

We could have a link to the main threads here, that is basically what the separate forum does now. We just need an admin to put a link to all of them there (or preferably in a separate sub forum as the threads in that forum are completed build threads)

Fastest way to be sure no one sees a thread is to move it to a forum out of the garage. The threads are already highlighted. If they are updated they go right to the top. So, if you want people to see your threads, just update them.
We will not be moving them to thier own forum. Zach |

Fastest way to be sure no one sees a thread is to move it to a forum out of the garage. You're assuming that that wasn't the intent of this thread. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Andrew nailed it, if we do a subfourm somewhere to have all the build-off threads in one place for easy access those would all just be links to the actual threads here in the garage. Anything else would simply spell a slow death for them ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) |

i'm no tech guy……. if one of the nailed threads at the top of p1, the member mugshot one (few of us look much like that anymore) , could find a new home, could some sort of link to a grouping of the build threads be possible? i was typing when andy posted the above.

If its being proposed to create a single page like an index with a link to each individual thread, that sounds like a winner. Easy access to each thread. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

Unfortunately, not ALL of them are highlighted. If they were it would be easier to find them. NO ONE has ever bothered to send me a list of all the threads. So i simply go along as i see them floating around. Oh well ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) |

But why not complain and give you a hard time.....
I say leave them the way they are. If someone would like to creat a master thread with links to the other threads, I bet Sir Andy would appreciate the effort. |

The second post in the master Build-Off thread has a master list of the build threads - http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=265569 I think it is up to date. I will double check it. There are a few builds that have not sent me the link to their build thread. But, almost all of them are there. |
