We could have a link to the main threads here, that is basically what the separate forum does now. We just need an admin to put a link to all of them there (or preferably in a separate sub forum as the threads in that forum are completed build threads)

Fastest way to be sure no one sees a thread is to move it to a forum out of the garage. The threads are already highlighted. If they are updated they go right to the top. So, if you want people to see your threads, just update them.
We will not be moving them to thier own forum.

You're assuming that that wasn't the intent of this thread.
Andrew nailed it, if we do a subfourm somewhere to have all the build-off threads in one place for easy access those would all just be links to the actual threads here in the garage.
Anything else would simply spell a slow death for them ...

i'm no tech guy……. if one of the nailed threads at the top of p1, the member mugshot one (few of us look much like that anymore) , could find a new home, could some sort of link to a grouping of the build threads be possible? i was typing when andy posted the above.

If its being proposed to create a single page like an index with a link to each individual thread, that sounds like a winner. Easy access to each thread.

Sorry. my fault. Hectic couple of weeks. The second post in the master Build-Off thread has a master list of the build threads -
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=265569I think it is up to date. I will double check it. There are a few builds that have not sent me the link to their build thread. But, almost all of them are there.

Build threads all inventoried in one place would make sense.

How about a compromise....a separate section/forum for all builds so that they are all on one page and still keep the threads on current forum section.
Otherwise is there an option that when viewing one build thread one can hit a button to go to the next most current up to date build thread?

I wouldn't mind having all the build threads in one place. Would make it easier to learn stuff.
The challenge threads don't bother me. They'll update less after the first couple weeks.

When this started I thought that the first page would be too cluttered with Build-Off threads but now after two weeks they have spread around a bit. Doesn't seem like a problem at all. when some one posts an update, it comes to the first page and people look at it.
I haven't posted anything on my car all week, I'm sure no one is interested in every time I block sand a panel ( I hate body work) or pictures of me taking apart my doors and such, so no updates.
I say leave it as is. JMHO

When the build offs started, i thought it would dominate the front page, disrupt the normal flow of the garage, and be a big pain in the butt. It has not. I agree with others. Leave it alone.

Nothing to see here, just get back to the Garage and see who is actually updating their Build Challenge projects. I thought it was too much blue on the 1st page initially, but some are falling back now.
It's all good

I have 2 build threads (not challenge builds) going myself, one is mostly about little updates and one is a simplistic build about to begin. but page one has about 90 threads on it. so even if there are 20 builds going on, that leaves 70 threads on page one that are not builds. some may want to follow builds, but I understand that others DON'T. I support what ever you guys decide to do.

All the build threads are now linked here:
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showforum=78There's also a pinned thread with a direct link to the main contest thread.
This should make it easy for anyone to find the participant threads ...
