Anyone up for the Grand Canyon, as well? A side trip to the Grand Canyon is an excellent idea. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) A few years ago we were starting in Williams and took the train to the Canyon. A drive up on Friday would be fun this year. MapQuest says it is 180 miles and 3 1/2 hours if we do it as a loop. (180 to 64 to 89) That route will also have us come back into Flagstaff on Route 66. |

In the poll it looks like the dates will be one of the later weekends.
If you voted for one of the first 2 options, please post your alternate choice. Please also let me know if either of the last 2 weekends will not work for you. |

I would skip it if the black car is back together |

Fan-fuching-tastic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Thx for doing this again, John. Can't wait to see you and the others. Kent (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) EDIT: Does our route take us thru Cottonwood? We've bought from a "Folk Art" artist in Cottonwood a few times, (and I use that term loosely). What a character! His name is Sally Lou and if he is still alive my wife will surely buy something else from him. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |

Be prepared ... if you don't have an "old pharts" card, they're gonna charge you $30.00 to look into "The Big Ditch".

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'm thinking of leaving Wed. Can you leave a day early since your nephew turned boss turned out to be a Dick Wad? |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blowup.gif) Well CRAP !!
I just found out the Prescott Whiskey Off-Road Race is Apr 29-May 1. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) Really, I had looked at a few Prescott events calendars and did not see it listed. Sorry. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) I need your help. What should we do? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Motel rooms in Prescott will be expensive / impossible. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) A different weekend or a different route? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Suggestions please. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |

There's a Best Western in Cottonwood that is reasonable. I'll check with my B-in law who has a house in Camp Verde for other recommendations. Cottonwood/Clarkdale area has some nice restaurants and wine tasting rooms for Mike & Mary.

I imagine the Whiskey Off-Road will bleed into Prescott Valley given its popularity and the number of rooms in Prescott proper. I can call a few to verify.
As mentioned, Cottonwood is another option, we could spend more time in Sedona and still make the drive up the hill to Jerome from there. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) There's a Days Inn in Chino Valley. Bout 15 miles north of Prescott. It's on Hwy 89 down from Hwy 40, Ash Fork. |
