@mb911 - can I ask what gauge / sender combo did you use for oil temp?

Thanks for the updates, good progress.

You can't beat 911 gauges.
This is from a 73 911.
They are quite plentiful on Ebay and other places.

And its alive.. The wiring is still a mess as I bought this as a none runner and it has a bunch of 73/74 year wiring differences. But it runs.. This is a bit hot wired though

That is as cool as it gets when building one of these. The first time it draws breath again. Very exciting. Ben, what muffler do you have on your car? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

@cairo94507 it is the prototype quiet muffler.. It is about perfect sounding.. Not loud .. Very happy with it.. Now I need to do a nice walk around video soon.

@mb911 - I heard your heat exchangers and quiet muffler on Coondog's ( @coondog ) car at the Phoenix Club show a couple months ago. My brother was with me standing at the entrance gate when Greg pulled in. We both agreed his car sounded perfect.

I caught up with Greg a little later in the morning and discovered we had identical drive trains and exhaust. 3,2 with Motronic, 964 cams and a Steve Wong chip and of course your full exhaust system. So I am very very very much looking forward to hearing my car and driving it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

You might consider swapping the needle in your speedometer for an early one so the gauges match...

Spent an hour this morning and sprayed the underside of the hood and the headlight covers.. Those will need a wetsand and buff but turned out flat for a garage. Also took it for spin around the neighborhood in 1st and Second gear. When I got back I decided I just had to get a 123 ignition for it. Just can't stand the idea of points and messing with timing old school way. I will have a brand new restored 2.4-2.7 distributor for sale shortly. Attached ImageAttached Image

Sorry long time no update on the 914-6werkshop car.

I had the top side sprayed at a friends shop so I didn't have to make a mess in the attached garage.. All thats left is the front fenders and I will finish the body work this winter and spray in spring. Carbs just got back from performance oriented as I needed the carb bushings done and an IDA conversion.. Attached Image Attached Image
