Hey Qarl,
I stopped at the local MI Lotus/Elise dealer today. They had (5) cars in stock. Hands down I like the Saffron Yellow & close behind the Chrome Orange. Ok, maybe my other choice is Krypton Green. These (3) colors would look great on our teeners. If I were painting orange it would be Chrome Orange. What an outstanding Orange. Any of these (3) colors you don't need a horn. Man, they can see you coming. Tom BTW Qarl, They gave me a color chart, do you have one or want mine?? Attached thumbnail(s) |

Sorry guys,
The Orange one was pulling away from the lot when I pulled up. I saw it and was it a great color. Befoe I could get my camera out & it was gone. Engine sounded great like our modified teeners. So sorry, the Chrome Orange would look outstanding on a teener. I have a color chart & I will try to scan it & post. Maybe Qarl has an orange pic.?? Tom Another Green Attached thumbnail(s) |

I have a color chart.
I will post a Chrome Orange pic in a bit. It's like Signal Orange, but with metallic flake in it! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) |

I saw a black Elise today.
It was one of the few cars I have ever seen that I did not like in black. |

I love the elise in black because it hides all the black accent stuff that I'm not too into. black elise with the black wheels would be hot.

Since I am getting the 914's paint redone (too many issues to fix)... I am SERIOUSLY thinking about painting it to match the Elise.
That Saffron Yellow is really great looking... |

You know it doesn't look bad. It's just that the black doesn't show the contrast with the fins and vents like the other colors do. On most other cars black paint defines the body contours. On the Elise I think the bright colors look best. |

The HofbrÀuhaus is reserved for only when there are special visitors in town. I'm ready to go back. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chowtime.gif) When are you comming out again? Elise vs Corvette at the Nurburgring. Place your bets and then watch the video. (56k warning) |

I haven't watched... but I say the Vette.
The Elise is like the 914... it's not a straight line killer... it gets 'em in the twisties... I will watch the video now... |
