I sent my rear trunk lock mechanism some where along the way the threads were damaged. I have tried cleaning them up with a file but no luck. Next I intend to buy a nut and cut it in half clamp it tight then remove the nut.
The problem is that I don't know what size nut to buy Thanks David |

The damaged threads are likely only on the cylinder rather than the nut......unless you forced it. What kind of file did you use ? There is a special file just for outside threads. Ask for a thread file in your FLAPS. The thread on your lock cyl. is 1.00 (I just checked) Rory |

Was it by chance re-chromed? |
