On a few padded interior pieces, the black padded vinyl items, I have some small splits/cracks and wonder how these can be repaired to look good.

I was thinking of filling in the cracks with black paintable silicon and then painting the whole piece with black rubberized bumper paint but wondered if others had a better idea.
