It does look like an excellent "Route 66" event is going take place. All the places and the roads leading to the event do provide experiences as well as meeting with the different participants.

I am jealous!! I no longer live in Flagstaff and really do miss driving the roads you will be taking. This year looks like it will be the first time I will have a 914 running and I am not in Flagstaff. I will be taking it to the WCR in Medford in May which is going to be a first. Still building but the car is with the painter and hoping to get it back by the end of February; then assembly and whatever.

We may join you in a couple of years since we are planning on buying a second home in the Albuquerque area.

Can a Non-Participant purchase a shirt? I will need to know where to send the money and what the postage costs are. I probably take an xxl. Please let me know if I can purchase.

Have a great time since it is a great event for us 914 caretakers!

It would be a courtesy for me if the organizers could compile a list of tours in western Nebraska or north Texas. They need to be easily gotten to from an inexpensive motel by U-haul truck with trailer towing broken down white 914. It is cold and gloomy and my confidence is low. Were you clobbered this past couple weeks Rick?

She actually met Ron briefly at one of Joe Sharps barbeques. I don't think that's the reason though. After the Portland WCR, she said, "So that's it"? "All you do at these things is stand around in the parking lot, drink, and talk about your cars"? And I said, "yup, pretty much". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Here she is with our good friend Sean Connery.

Elyut lends a bit of class to our parking lot bullshit endeavors, IMHO.

And, I can see why most wives would opt out of our foolishness. My wife already thinks I give more attention and love to an automobile than her.

Why would she torture herself with the obvious truth by attending this event?
