So... we were thinking the other day (dangerous). That a "chop-top" teener would be awesome. I think it would be a stunning car to chop. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)
I was thinking it should be a narrow bodied car (meaning not GT flares) with some of Jon's flares in the back. Lowered with custom wheels and mongo meat stuffed in the fender wells. This one should have a full interior ala. rod and custom and have a monster (3.0) Jake motor in it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Who's game? Ya gotta have the dough. It's not a cheap project but, it would be one of the most stunning (IMHO) custom teeners on the planet. Next? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) |

Don't worry Sean... Mueller's wrong too (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
Now, just imagine this with some of those famous Ghiaman flares! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stones.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/drooley.gif) |

That yellow car is starting to progress nicely.
Now, do the Foose thing and remove the emblems and door handles, fill the notch left by the handle and drop the car down a bit. |

Too subtle.. You got to really chop & skew the top to make it look squat & tough (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Naa...I think 2" would do the trick...that's why I only took that much out of the first pic.
If you want to go REAL extreme....I'd yank the targa bar and only have the windshield be about 12min tall. Drive around with a leather hat and those cool goggles. |

Haha, the more that gets done to it the more it looks like a bigger car than it really is. I think it might look cool to add some foreward rake to the front edge of the targa bar.. maybe.

Yeah, but more. Now it looks vertical instead of being slanted back. If it slanted forward it may look cool, but now I'm starting to think it would look silly (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) |

Hrm. Years ago in St. Louis, there was a guy that showed up at every AX with a 914 that had the targa bar and windscreen removed. The dash was all metal, with a rounded hump for the gauges (looked like a 550, more or less). It actually looked pretty good. I think he also had a GT engine cover. Never talked to the guy. I wasn't into 914s at the time. License plate was F1 FAN, in case anyone there remembers the guy or the car.

Come-on Aaron... tow your ride up here. You know it's not gonna run again for another 2 years anyway. We'll trow that fender on there, chop the top and give you the full Foose treatment. Chickie-Poohs will love your hot little ride. You might even get laid (by somebody other than Slits) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/w00t.gif)

Back to that yellow car...
I agree with the slant nose, then add wider rear fenders and some large side intakes with slats. Change out the twist rims for stars add wide mirrors halfway up the A pillar drop in a flat 12 and you've got a nice ride. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif) |
