Progress of sorts, got my wiring all hooked up and the carbs back on,couldn't get the fuel pump to run off the key so jumpered that to the battery and it worked fine, I like the carter pump it is very quiet.
Set fuel pressure to just over 3 psi and checked for leaks,I don't know why but the Holley LP regulator I have won't go any lower in pressure than where I have it,Iam not really concerned as the fuel bowls aren't overflowing. Added a further 5 litres of oil to the oil tank not sure if the marks on my PMS oil filter dipstick is that accurate? but won't really know till I get it running. Cranked the engine for a short time and got oil pressure quickly, but it soon became obvious I have no spark,my plan is to bypass the cdi and see if that's the problem. |
