Got my wiring tidied up in the engine bay yesterday, used a 3pin Deusch plug off the CDI and a 2pin one off the distributer,I like these little waterproof plugs, the crimping tool for the plugs is rather expensive but I plan to add more of these plugs behind my gauges to clean up the birds nest of wires there.
Got my oil pressure gauge working,it now reads the same as my mechanical gauge I have mounted on the engine,I'am using one from a 1974 911 and its correctly rated for my senders. Oil leak on cooler not got any worse will pick up replacement next week, bugs me this issue but can still test drive but not too far. Test drove again today and after playing with the carbs got a much smoother run,had a bad lean mix backfire previously. The left hand drive has got me a little confused, keep reaching for the handbrake to change gears (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) . |
