Mocking up how to install all the sensors for my clutch and brake pedals I was thinking the best solutions will be to weld on tabs for the trigger sensors on my wiring harness. However If the pedals are made from cast I know I will probably just drill through and bolt a tab on.

Anyonr know?

Thanks!

From memory I'd say stamped/cut steel plate or sheet.

Well.... clutch is a threaded rod and a cast arm, brake is all welded/stamped.

So a little of both. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The castings are steel, not iron.
NO problem welding and grinding on them.

I am going through the same situation. DBW pot is mounted, hydraulic clutch is setup.
I have just about decided to make saddle brackets to go around the peddle. Cut a piece out of a Jetta yesterday with the correct holes for the brake and clutch switches. Will make a bracket welded lto the peddle base
