What CV's do you have? Pre 76? I may have some axles.

I have two brand new early 911 axles since I went with a custom axle. I only needed them for the CV joints but the axles and boots are BRAND NEW. Will sell for $150 per pair.

I spoke with Paul and he needs CV's. Only complete axles are available. If anyone has a source for 110mm four bolt CV's please chime in.

Yeah so you buy two new axles, press the CVs off, and now you have four new CVs. That's what I had to do, and that is why I have two axles left over.

I'm not sure what you are converting but the 911 axles will not work on a 914 because the length of the axle is shorter than the 914. Machined spacers, modified 914/6 axles or custom axles will be needed. Brad

Oh jeez ,, it gets more complicated .
I am using parts from a 70 911 to convert . Everything , hubs , stubs, flange are from 70 911.
What's the solution here ?

TIA

Easy, you call Eric at PMB and have him order you a set of sway away custom length axles, and then you use all that shit you mentioned above. That's what I did. I also needed CVs, and I am here to tell you they cannot be bought separately unless they are used.

I wanted new ones, so I had to buy complete early 911 axles. I then pressed off the CVs, and put them on the sway away units. Sway aways are like $330, new 911 axles are like $500. The rest you have.

If you have the 108mm stub axles and the 108mm output shafts at the transmission then buy the 4 bolt 2 stud 911 Axles from PMB and the Sway a way axles. Follow the thread for DIY instructions provided by Eric Shea.

Remove the CVS from the 911 axles and mount them onto the Sway a way. They use a floating setup so it is a little strange but they work great. The 911 axle is too short for the 914.

If you don't have the 108mm stub axles and or the output shafts at the transmission. Let me know. I have both setups.

Good luck with your project

Henry
