I think it could work if you just let them be raised a little... even if it spoils the lines, it would add a little character. Somewhat reminiscent of the older acuras IMHO. |

I was thinking something more like a 3000GT was where I was going to try and take it... I dunno if it would pass the min. height of a headlight though... it's a lot of work for ??? |

We're talking about these lights.
Mike S said he was going to start making them and I'm trying to get a status report. Attached image(s) |

How much do you think a two light (on each side) like your photoshop image would weigh. I am going to weigh a stock housing abd lens this weekend.
I like the look. |

We don't see cops with DOT handbooks, and rulers around here. If they can put a 15" hitch on a truck, that intersects the center of my windshield, I can put my headlights on the back, if I want. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) M |

the quality looks good, but I'll hold my opinion to see them on the car... I have my doubts (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

I'm not making them. I'm just pushing the manufacturer to get them into production. I'm pretty sure I'll get the first set, but I don't have a delivery date yet. |

Those are going to look nice I think.....now to figure out something for reverse since the white lights are no longer part of the assembly...i guess one could hook up a beeper/horn to go off while in reverse

Those look very nice but I prefer the original tail lights. The car is square/boxy and the tails flow with it. Round tail lights just don't flow with the car. IMO.
As to the non-pop-up head lights, well, the examples shown so far don't look right to me. I like the idea of pop-up headlights, weight be damned! Maybe if the headlights popped-up 1/2 the distance and used the projector-style headlights? I know with Euro-spec H4's in my previous teener did a great job lighting up the night (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) |

IMO.. .they look a bit "ricey".
Are clear taillights in the offering too? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) |

i'm still undecided for a 914 application.
i can tell you that to pass state inspection in PA, they'll NEED some kind of white backup light (which yes means i'll need two sets, if i want to run the French light assemblies i've been lusting after...) but i am growing to like the idea more and more for the 911, since it's headed for a "transitional/prototype" kind of feeling... remind me where i can get the ('71) 911 versions ? |

Somebody put those on a car...... I can't decide if I like 'em or not. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif)
Either way I would not buy 'em, but that is not where I am going with my car. Just my .02. |
