Pretty sure that's a 911 part. It supports the E brake cable on each trailing arm

I found a place in Greensboro, NC that will do small batch plating for me. It’s somewhat of a long drive, but I can talk with them face to face.

So, I’ve gathered everything remaining that needs plating.

But, while doing this, I found two parts I can’t identify - does anyone know what this is?

Not a 914 part. At least not one that I've ever seen.

Thanks again - I tried a Google picture search also, but didn’t get a match.

So, this is a 911 parts. Thanks all.

Now I feel safe getting rid of them unless someone here wants them.

Picked up the plated parts today - had to sort everything out afterward.

One trailing arm done, one more to go. They will be powder coated afterward.

Adding a pic of the dust shield mounting points. Not beautiful, but definitely serviceable. I offset the mount for the rear location to ensure the shock bolt clears.

And, the second trailing arm is done. Just need to trim the shield to fit the boxster caliper, and clean them up for coating.

Guess I should also figure out how long the studs need to be before I put everything together.

My trans flanges have one dimension off by a little. Dr. Evil did the build and let me know of the issue, but now I need to find another set. Everything matches the required dimension except this measurement.

So you're looking for a set of trans flanges ? In what size, 100 mm 6 bolt or 108 mm 4 bolt with 2 roll pins? I may have a set of 108 mm but would need to go dig through some bins. If I locate them I'll measure them.

I’m going to need 108mm units with 4 bolts and 2 pins. Thanks,

While waiting on my trailing arms to be coated, I started trial fitting the oil cooler parts.

It’s been a few, or more, years since purchasing the parts, so it feels good to start putting them in the car.

Next, I’ll need to make a hole in the front inner fender under the headlight bucket to run the lines to the oil cooler.

I made a few adjustments to the bottom part of the cooler ducting I fabricated earlier in this process - it fits near perfectly now.

I need to add a section to support the oil cooler.

Which manufactures front oil cooler are you using?
Is it a GT replica cooler?

I'll have to watch this, I have elephant lines and PMB front cooler too. Glad to see you are rolling along on the install. Let us know anything you ran into on that part of the install.

Yes, it’s a PMB cooler. Also, it is the oil line kit from Elephant racing.

As for the cooler, I want to find a way to pressure test it prior to install - maybe a radiator test kit will work.

I’m thinking on how I would like to have the lines go into the frunk from the front fender well. You can see in the picture that the ends are at an angle to the inner fender wall; I think I wish they were perpendicular to allow use of a bulkhead pass through fitting. But, as they are, I’m thinking some sort of grommet pass-through.
