Thought I would put this out there for anyone looking into “chrome” paint. I’m painting the front signal buckets, so decided to use Duplicolor automotive metallic Chrome high gloss. The pic below shows a trial part with a high gloss black base, followed by the chrome paint 45 minutes later.
I’ll paint the buckets tomorrow - it’s not chrome, but the trial looks fine.   |

I found that the Duplicolor chrome doesn’t stick very well to the gloss black on the trial part. So, I followed the directions and painted it directly on the metal - it looks better.
The pic shows it a little dull, but it is very bright actually.  |
