So let's do the math:
Seller is asking $111 that includes shipping to you and he's taking care of the Paypal charges. Paypal is 2.9% plus $0.30 or about $3.50. The lens sell on Ebay.de (Germany) for 22.5 Euro each or about $25/ea or $50 for the pair. That $111 is now knocked down to about $57.50 after Paypal and purchase. Shipping from Germany can't be that inexpensive....I'll estimate another $25 to ship them to the seller. Then he has to ship them to you....how about another $12 for box and shipping? That's gets the seller's profit down to $20 per transaction. I'm OK with that and I purchased a set from the seller. The previously advertised clear lens from another seller for $250/set were definitely a bit high in my eyes when you can get them through Ebay.de for similar price to these yellow ones. JMHO |

JMHO Your math is a little off the seller charges $10.95 to ship to USA. I paid him $60.00 for a set shipped to me. Flat rate shipping in the USA is less than $7.00 and the box is free. |

I am trying to take the high road here but I DO spend 2 hours a day on line checking the world over for NOS parts. I have been a member here since 2005 and I am well known for posting parts that no one else can find. I provide a service to those who buy from me. It is a free market, if you don't like the price, don't buy. The rules also state you are not to make negative comments on items being sold.
A big thank you to you for posting the link on my ad. When the last 4 lens sell, I can ask any price I want! |

These are available on Ebay for half the price, Hmmm!! Comes with the same paper wrapper, just got mine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Streuscheibe-gelb-...jYAAOSweWVXd0WI Thanks for your vigilance Mike Fitton. I just purchased a set. Just for the record, no sale lost to Mark H, as I was NOT a potential buyer at $111. |

The rules also state you are not to make negative comments on items being sold. Where is my negative comment on your thread? Or are you referring to my post with the link to the original seller? If I were you I would let sleeping dogs lie, my post about you not doing any searching for this item is true as you saw the same thread here with the Ebay link that I did. You even posted on the thread! http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...1&hl=yellow |

Oh my. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) so... You're willing to screw around with shipping from Europe (does Bundespost (sorry Andy) HAVE the flat rate PRIORITY equivalent?) and begrudge a member trying to make a few bucks? All in he's really not killing a fat hog when you figure the time and effort involved. Then what do you do if the items are not to your liking? If there is a shipping glitch? Then what? Peace of mind and no bs hassles are things of beauty. Sticking one's nose in other's business? Bad beans.

Then what do you do if the items are not to your liking? If there is a shipping glitch? These are really not a concern when paying with PayPal. Shipping to and from Europe via USPS is very reasonable. On the Euro lenses the seller had on Ebay shipping to the USA was $10.95 for both lenses and I got them in 5 days. So I paid $60 instead of $115 well worth it. I got several PM's thanking me for posting the Ebay link, just trying to help out my fellow member's. I don't begrudge anyone for making money and I understand some people don't like to buy from Europe. |
