Arrgh! Wow!Some congratulation is deserving for achieving the simple, crude forms. That roof, reminiscent of ragtop 'A's,is out of place though. Perhaps suitable for some sci-fi B-movie set,the hero's ride,an atomic powered levitation machine, and why the wheels are missing. ![]() A plan and some decent skill, why, one could hammer out a dream 'sports'car.A little imagination, and voila!A passable shape. RSR Fuchs sets off the revised shape, tho the headlamps from a 996/986 may be more appealing. No small undertaking, and why the labor is so costly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) / |

'If you put your mind to it,you can achieve anything you can think of'
Marty McFly ![]() However, there is little in the way of instant gratification,a lot of effort is required. Incredibly, some of the most iconic automotive art is,in fact, hand hammered. The reason that grp renditions are less costly than the millions for the originals. A copy of anything,is still ersatz, not genuine, tho still beautiful. A few years of pounding metal under the supervision and instruction of a master, and you too could create such art. Pointed to a sheet of half hard ally,'Make an XKE's bonnet',in a few week's work. ![]() ![]() What it looks like to me is a Fiero chassis, with tube sub-frames attached.A nice 3.4L Porsche engine +tx,mounted taildragger. What a great idea,a super-stiff steel monocoque(unibody),with a cage and wishbone suspension to carry the big rubber. And yes,it is a awd, long after the 959.So,the idea is not that far fetched,...'Hmm,an awd 914,wouldn't that be nice' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) Sung to the tune of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmIsdMWzdaE http://rennlist.com/forums/944-turbo-and-t...ve-944-a-2.html (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) / |
