I have seen where others had the question on how to remove paint overspray from the fresh air intake. Many if not most of the products isn't recommended for use on plastics. I happened to run into this at Home Depot and tried it.

I scrapped the worst of it off and here is the before picture.

The after picture, I used a scrubby to help clean it.
