Yeah, fast times really are irrelevant in this type of racing. Knocking off a second a lap for ten laps nets ten seconds, but one stupid move can cost 30 seconds to a minute or more. I pushed a little harder at night last year just to see how much was left in the car. In the future, I'd probably adopt Shane's style. If we were running solid 47-48s for the whole race and only pitted minimally, we might have been in the top 5 overall against newer BMWs, V8 Lexuses (Lexi?) and the like. It really does punch way above it's weight.
