Thank you. That's better. The click is the solenoid on the starter. Use a screwdriver to short the large red wire on the starter to the yellow wire on the solenoid. Make sure the car is in neutral and parking brake on (or wheels chocked). If it cranks, your problem is most likely the electrical portion of the ignition switch.

The rear brake light was on. However the stick for the gear moves freely and doesnt even allow it to gonin gear at all sonidk if its in gear. These cars are different then anything ive ever worked on

Did you buy a Haynes manual yet? You might consider using a shop vac on the enigine compartment. Easier to navigate without all of the debris in the way.

how long has the car been sitting? does the engine turn over by hand? where in ny are you? from the video it sounds like the starter gear is kicking out but the engine is not turning. remove spark plugs, jack up one of the rear wheels and turn it with the car in gear. make sure the motor is not stuck.

The car is in old bridge nj. Probably a little over an hour from sugarlof. If your down i can give you a ride back and forth on the weekend if your free. Im really use to these cars i have no idea what to turn. I have a spitfire and did most the work myself this is definitely more of a challenge

Hope you have jackstands.
