I think it is possible to register your car in another EU member state and then import it to France. The EU law says that if a car is legal in a member state it is legal in the whole of the EU. This only applies if the import is done by a person and not a company. I have the same problem with my 914 and with my Honda CB1000R which is standard restricted in France but as it is an UK purchase and on UK plates I can import it without restricting it.
Insurance is a different question. I haven't started the process yet but have to do this before BREXIT is completed.

The car is looking really good Erwan! I am looking forward to seeing in-car videos on track, someday... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Hello Erwan:

Greetings from Seattle. I really like your build. Great workmanship, selection of components, and a fantastic color choice. In all seriousness: Do you really think you're going to be able to convince the authorities that's the "stock" motor with all the other modifications and trick parts you've installed? If nothing else, the fan shroud color should be a clue (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

In France their not knowing these cars, even the technical controls not of information on the engine numbers.
You must not have a serious accident, nor do you have to catch a 250kmh
