You must be joking ....right,really a belt change is a HUGE task without this opening,timing and distributor work is even harder without it.
Now setting the valves tell me why the opening isn't required,really your comment is rubbish.
Anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) to the OP and great work,great start to what will be a great car,your brake choose is a good one I have these front and rear on my car with 19mm ATE master cylinder ,stops really well with great pedal feel.
