I need a throttle bell crank for my 914/6 trans/6 conversion. I have one but it's bent and pretty much worn out. I looked on the Mittelmotor site but came up empty. I put a WTB in the classified section several months back but no answer (as expected!)
Does anyone know of an alternate source for part number 91442302501? Thanks, Greg |

Do you need the original part? I believe that Rich Jonson (a914guy) makes a functional replacement, but I'm not sure how exact a replacement it is. Shoot him a PM and ask.

Rich Johnson has made those in the past, I'm not sure if he still does

Double check with Porsche. I think they had some made up.

Is this for a real six trans? with the pin already on the case?
I believe RJ's is for a conversion of a /4, the bell crank might not fit. You can take a 911 bell crank which is correct except for the arm isn't in the right spot. It's brazed on so if you're careful you can heat it cherry red hot, then quickly spin it to the correct orientation. |

I used an RJ conversion with an intermediate plate from a 911. Works great. Fits on the stock stud. Rich's piece does come with an adaptor so it bolts on to a 914 case without mods.

Good suggestion on modifying the 911 bell crank. |

I just installed the RJ assembly and it is a perfect fit. Easy install as well. And yes, he has them for sale among other finely crafter conversion parts.

Adding another alternative to the mix, PMS makes a longer throttle cable for /6 conversions that doesn't need the linkage at all.
It simply loops around and goes straight to the throttle body. I used this for my 3.6L ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) |

I have several 911 ones that could be modified to make them into 914-6 ones.
