I just picked up a really nice, low milage 914-6 and was pleasantly surprised to find that it has OEM sway bars on it. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the factory shipped any 914-6's with sway bars or were they installed at the dealerships or ??

look and see if the rear swaybar mounts were welded in after the car left the factory. you should be able to see if the welds & support bracket in the rear trunk is under the factory paint or if they were welded in later and touchup paint added on top. that is, of course, if the car still has the original paint! otherwise, post a picture of the rear trunk floor, right behind the cross-bar and we'll be able to tell you if the support plates are stock or aftermarket ...
