PM Sent for an unfinished mount.

The Kenu brand mount is small and will provide a snug fit both around the phone and into the vent or ash tray mount in this case. It will also swivel so the phone can orient in either direction. This is another alternative to the magnet style as shown earlier in the thread.

There is a week+ lead time on the finished version, I'll PM you when its ready to ship. As for where to get the mounts. Here are a few examples from Amazon. Mount 1 Mount 2 And a much more expensive for no reason version from Best Buy. Mount 3 They are pretty common, most places that have phone accessories will have one version or another.

I would like one, unfinished, if these are still available?

Yeah, still making them. The unfinished ones have a pretty quick turn around, but finished ones take a while. I'll PM each of you individually when yours is ready to ship. Thanks.

So you have shipped a batch.... are you taking orders for batch 2? Add an unfinished one for me.

Clark

Just had a thought....maybe V2?

could you hollow out the back (like an ashtray)? Maybe not as big as an ashtray, but great place to stick my change.

It's not really made in batches, they are produced on order. But, I ship them out in batches. I've added you to the list. I'll look into adding some space behind so it can used as a tray. Thanks for the input.

Hi Evan,

I have a spare ash tray I was just looking at the other day to try and modify. I'd much rather have one of your unfinished mounts. Let me know.

Morrie

P.S.- yuck, only 7 posts, makes me look like a spammer or something. Just got the 914 but have had 911s, 912, 944, 924S, etc... check my rep on the bird or 912bbs.org if concerned. (I am not 914-smart enough to post here yet, just reading and learning!)

BTW, I ran across the clips on GROUPON. They have a huge selection, mainly the magnetic type. But they are all on sale, I don't remember seeing any that were over $13.

Looking forward to giving this baby a try.

application question:

Has anyone tried the magnetic clip using a MOPHIE? I would assume, I could just attach the metal sticker to the outside of the MOPHIE. The mophie does add some weight to the phone, I wonder how strong these magnets are. Will it hold a heavy mophie cased phone?

Sounds like that would work. The magnets are pretty strong in these mounts. Mine as held an iPad in its case.

I know NOTHING about 3D printing or the material. But can anything be done about the cracking? I know these are just fun prototype type items. But it is super useful. I really do like it. I wonder about the one you sanded and painted. Is it holding up? Maybe a paint job will stop the cracking.
