I also have found that the car was sold at John Stein motors. Wilmington Delaware... It still has an original oil change sticker in the door jamb... My PCA is also on the way.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Thanks Tom
I even fixed the drivers side Cocoa floor mat ... the rubber heel pad was curling up so I warmed it up with my heat gun and then hand sewed the corners back down. So far the car is turning out as good as I hoped.

Kieth,

If you were in SoCal I'd encourage you to enter it in our local Zone 8 Concours Series, but I still say enter some in your area.

Since it's 75% or more original paint & interior, it is eligible for Preservation Division (or similar), & would probably do very well if fully prep'ed & detailed!

Happy 4th! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif)

I was really surprised that the sister car was on ebay. I contacted the seller and his story was amazing too. His car was a one owner from new... My car has had 3 or so before me but it was stored inside since 1986. There are only a handful of Sepia Brown 914's still around and the fact 2 survivors were found at the same time is very amazing.....

Not a fan at all of sepia brown 911s, but I have to admit that on a 914 its quite attractive. Nice find!

keith,

I just sent you an email & evil-bay PM on your ad being $10-15K too low on the car.

PS - I'm pretty sure it's this car from the pix.

Looks nice. Not sure why you're selling such a fine specimen, but hope you fetch a good price for it.

I had a Sepia Brown 1973 911s back in 1978 and it was a great car. Super fast when it got tuned but the tune seemed to go away and then it was just super fast not killer fast. Went right up to 130MPH on the LA freeways in short order. Just go through a few gears. The mechanical Injection seemed to go out of tune in 2500 miles.

$10,000 back then.

I shared your ad on EBay here inadvertently and then again under cars for sale here. Why didn't you list it here as well yourself?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I was in touch on the phone to the guy in Belgium who was in touch with you yesterday on my recommendation. He didn't see the share I mistakenly had put here under parts and somehow missed it on EBay as well. I encouraged him to go for it (I love your car) but he said your price i ,over his budget. Oh well. GLWTS.
