Very nice. So were they there before, and if so did they fall apart when removed?

Mark, are these made from silicon like your dash and roll bar plugs? I really liked your silicon plugs more than the OEM plastic ones. A free plug, no pun intended! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I discovered mine were missing a couple of years ago and found 6 used ones at EASY from a wrecked 914. But to get fresh new ones is a treat. Thanks Mark!

Made like the OEM so they can take paint. Different tool, it's a plastic injection tool or I could just pull in silicone. Sorry

I had to clean the ski rack holes with a tap. (Just a bit of rust). I made the blocks (rather crudely) from some aluminum I had laying around. I got some Yakima bike rack parts to finish it. Here's a pic with the bike on the rack taken at the 2005 WCC. Twelve years and twenty pounds ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Not too many of these rubber gaskets around.....

By the way, I made Mike D. buy his set of factory ski racks from me a few G & R's ago. I think he is glad he did. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Oddly enough, my car still has them and they aren't painted over either. Hmm, looks like that might be a good spot to get a paint match from.
