Front caliper partially installed......new steel line on their way from PMB. Getting closer to Finnish line! The Finnish are really sensitive about that whole Finnish line thing... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |

Looks fantastic, I had my rear calipers done by Eric years ago and they still look and work great.

Thanks so much to Andrew and Andy at 914world.com for the wonderful time in Mammoth and for the great prizes...PMB Performance Brake rebuild...Eric at PMB did an amazing job on the calipers. Went ahead with new rotors and Porterfield pads, bearings, brake lines and ball joints, and had the wheels polished just to top it off. Broke in the pads now still trying to get all the air out of the system, pedal still a little spongy, will get it. Truly a great time going with Mike and Leamon and meeting new friends and seeing the sights of the eastern Sierra from the drivers seat of a 914........cant wait for next West Coast Ramble....!!!!!

Took her out to break in the pads.....front brakes working great....rears not so well. Can feel the air bubbles in the pedal....bleeding continues...any tips would be appreciated..! Stomp stomp stomp! I think the two person old fashioned method works best with our brakes. Bleed bleed bleed! After the 2 person Bleed, Bleed, Bleed. I did a gravity bleed and it made a big difference. will drive it a couple more times and gravity bleed it again.....got the proceedure from PMB web page. |
