Ok
I searched the web and the Pelican tip said to place the trans in reverse then slide the coupler on the rod by going from first to reverse. Ok how do you tighten the pinch bolt? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

First clarify if this is a tail shift or side shift. the pinch bolt on the side ahift is below the shifter. tail shift is as pictured at the back of the tunnel
