Mike, he's a member on here, & here's his link about this car:

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act...rCP&CODE=00

I advised him that his original low-$20,000 price was probably too low, according to Hagerty, but don't know the actual reserve price now.

https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools...Porsche-914-2.0

At the time I thought it was original paint - & not an older 1980s repaint to the original Sepia, but I still think in today's world in that condition it's probably at #4-5 value, from what I can see in pix, not in person.

As with any 914 or any other classic vehicle purchase - an in person look & a detailed PPI is advised.

Damn. I'm pretty sure the guy in Belgium would have been happy to take it at that price if he hadn't been told the reserve was 22,000. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Whoever got that car at 17k got a good deal.

I did bid but stopped at 15.000 (no ebay fever for me anymore)... checked the vin here on the forum and found out that the car was fm a member. Contact was made by PM and 22 k was the price to take it off ebay. Need to ship/import and was over budget so I had to let it go...

No hard feelings and time for a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

cheers
