So I was trying to copy the Clewette sensor mount for my MJLJ. I decided that quick steel was the easiest way to get a solid mold for my machinest friend to duplicate. I am thinking now that I may just make a better molded one out of the quick steel and stay with that. You can tap it, drill it, its just like a solid plascic, but harder.

What do you all think? I will attach a pic of Clewette's, and my first attempt.

damn that thing is ugly, but with some creative shaping, you can make that thing pretty as well (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

at least I'm not the only one with crazy ideas...I used Playdough to mock up mine (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)

It should work, however I'd try to make it so that you can adjust it if needed.........

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) , but I will make the sensor ovular instead of the mount holes. I intend to have studs installed in the mount.

It molds perfectly fine and sets up in 4 min. It is pretty maliable for the first 3 minutes. You can get it at any FLAPS. Get the stuff in the tube. It is a 2 part epoxy with the hardener running through it. You break off the lump amount that you need, kneed it untill it is one color, and then mold it. It is stoopid easy to use and two tubes will due you.

Yup, I am using the wheel that you gave me. It is the perfect diameter. Thanks again. I'll take a pic of the tube and post it. I know that you have seen it before, you may not have noticed it.

Mega Jolt Light Jr. It's a DIY setup for running the Ford EDIS ignition on any car, so you can get distributorless, crank-fire ignition for under $300. It's not really part of the Megasquirt stuff, as it's completely separate hardware, software, everything. The Megasquirt ECU will talk to the EDIS stuff, but it will also talk to GM HEI, and the DIS from the Neon, too. MJLJ only works with EDIS.

What are you using for your pulley with the tooth ring? I need to create the same type of mount for my type-4 engine and a 5" pulley.

Keep them progress pics coming.
I want to do the same thing to mine (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Pics of the "wheel" please.

Is there a specific model the sensor and EDIS module came from?
We don't have that system here in Aus, so details will help me track one down "over there".

cheers
