As a parent who's been there, I know there's little any of us can do to lift your burden of fear and concern. We listen, share your anguish and pass along our prayers but none of this will touch what you're feeling.

Do your best. Be there for him. Be a Dad.

Good luck.

Been thinking about your little boy all weekend. We had many prayers for his recovery. God Bless you and family throughout this ordeal.

Any news? Has the praying been helping? It really hurts to see small children going through something like this. I hope all is well soon.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) Steve, I too work in the cardiac unit...sometimes at Children's Hospital in Orange, Ca (the cardiac cath lab) Was your little one born with a congenital condition in regard to his pulmonary hypertension?
If I can be of any resource to you...don't even hesitate...I have lots of contacts for information.
Also in my prayers! God speed for a quick recovery for your little man (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)

Easton and your family are in my prayers.

I can only imagine what you are going through. This weekend I was able to babysit my 17-month-old grandson. He is such a joy! When he was born my daughter had to go through an emergency C-section because of stress on the umbilical cord - I've never felt so helpless, sick and scared in my whole life. I'm sure it's nothing compared to what you are feeling. The thought of something like this happening to my Nate is just devistating.

I spoke to Steve this evening.

Easton is hanging in there. He still on the oscillator (type of ventilator). They have him sedated so that he won't fight the machine. The goal is to build his lung capacity back up and then work him back to a regular ventilator.

The are aggressively treating Easton's pulmonary hypertension. Tomorrow he has a catheter study to look at the right side of his heart.

Easton has a long road ahead of him, but Steve and his wife Sher are staying strong.

Please, continue to keep him in your thoughts and hopefully we'll here from Steve with some good news very soon.

Regards,

Karl

Well guys...its been a long haul in ICU and it looks like it will be longer.....Easton has been stable for four days now, but he is still on the edge.
We sat down with a bunch of docs this morning and talked about the direction of Eastons therapy....Some great ideas presented and another drug to drop pressures in his arteries, he is already using 3.
I can't really get into all the details, but i now have more hope of him coming home, He is still very fragile, but we have hope!!
Our family has been praying around the clock for him.
I would like to thank you for your continued prayers and support as well (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)
thanks
