soloracer has all the good information about the 4-rotor e-shaft. I can’t add much to his already complete list. I do however have one tidbit of information that you may find interesting. Locally to me here in Canada we have a shop full of creative mad men like my self that have come up with a way to connect 2 two rotor motors together. On the dyno normally aspirated it pushed out over 1000hp. You’re next question will probably be how long is the assembly. Believe it or not it’s about the same length as the factory 4 rotor. The power plant is slated to be installed in a 3rd jen Rx for testing this summer. I am sure that I will be shot soon after posting this as it’s suppose to be top secret. |

Post pics of your car,, I'll be sure to comment at least once. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) -Rob |

Has anyone tried running a 3rd generation RX-7 radiator set up in the 914? I am working on this right now and was wondering if anyone has had problems. I have a racing beat header and exhaust that will work for someone that is staying normally aspirated if anyone is interested. It is for a 13b and mounts to where the rear sway bar bolts mount.. I had it on my last 914 and it worked great.

13B,
Got any pics and dimensions for this radiator? I'm guessing it has very good cooling capacity to cool the little Wankel! Jeff |

I think it is 15" X 30" wich should fit between the headlight buckets quite well. I will be using the aluminum racing radiator that is 3" thick. It is completely sealed with no radiator cap since the 13B gsl se has the radiator cap on the engine itself.

I got my radiator from www.renegadehybrids.com check under the SBC conversion for the coolling package. You can also see all of my pics at www.913b-gt.com. There has been issues with cracking due to body flex. They completly float the radiator in the shrowd to avoid this.

I have heard there is a nice rotary 914 in Waco, TX. A body shop friend said he saw it but I haven't been able to find it yet. I think the owner's name is Wade. The story is the car came from Kalifornia.

Well it's been along time since I last updated this thread. Sorry for the long gap.
My car is running! and getting better in small steps, as I street tune my FI. I ditched the megasquirt because I couldn't overcome an ignition problem of my own doing. I am now running a stone age Haltech E6K FI. The programming software is in DOS! I had some rubbing I couldn't get rid of in the front with my 16x7 Fuchs, so I went with the 16x6. I thought people had problems with the rear rubbing? Tires are 205/55/16,,, any thoughts? youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QyJ_O-ngbM -Rob Attached thumbnail(s) |
