I was wondering what fuel pump folks are using and like for a Carb conversion. Engine is a 2.0 upgraded to 2.3 with two Weber 44 IDF carbs.

Low pressure Carter pump mounted on front crossmember, not too loud, fairly priced and runs well.
I seem to remember the same pump comes from CB performance also. |

I seem to remember the same pump comes from CB performance also. CB Performance has a rotary low pressure pump with filter, that's what i ran on my 2056. http://www.cbperformance.com/product-p/3193.htm (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.cbperformance.com-179-1511207757.1.jpg) Friends don't let friends use facet pumps ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) I also run this setup but I purchased mine form Tangerine Racing. Also bought the SS fuel line for Carbs. Used the remaining grommet holes to run the wiring thru the tunnel. Bought a 2 wire multi stranded and flat jacketed wire from West Marine. Mounted the pump/filter combo under the gravel pan. It's tight but it works. Happy to see the pump outside of the car and the pressure line now in SS tube. As insurance I installed on the top of the engine a fuel regulator. I actually use a 2.5lb pressure with 40IDFs on a 2.1L engine. Runs great. |
