Yikes, didn't realize or see someone cut a sunroof hole in the hardtop. For me, that would be some welding and a lot of grinding.

Yikes, didn't realize or see someone cut a sunroof hole in the hardtop. For me, that would be some welding and a lot of grinding. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) indeed. Welding is done. Smoothing out all the waves that follow is the hard part. |

Sunroof elimination is complete. Not perfect, but you'd need to be at least 7 feet tall to see it, so it's good enough. Other more obvious dent repairs are proceeding, and my skill set is a better match for them. Also finished off the dash with a retro-look radio.

Does your dashpad interfere with opening the wing windows? Ours does with the door closed, can only open them 10% at best. Best also ensure they are not 15%+ open when the door is closed either!

No interference at all, vents have full range of motion. Does your dash pad maybe have an ABS cap on it? |
