After a rather cool damp winter further progress is now being made on painting the Bumblebee. I have given a lot of time trying to decide if I was going to tint the Sunflower yellow to match negative stripe from 914 rubber or use the Sunflower Yellow (L13K) as it is and not concern myself with a small difference between the paint and the negative stripe. I have decided to use the Sunflower yellow and live with any difference. Alex the painter called Friday and said that he had received the paint from his supplier and on first inspection it seemed quite different from the stripe. A big concern of mine is that we don't have anything sunflower yellow to match to except the stripe.Attached Image

This is the can of paint as it arrived from the supplier. It is Axalta single stage paint. Under fluorescent light it seemed that difference was greater that under natural light.

Sorry for posting 3 pictures. Alex told me that his supplier has matched the code and the year and that it is computer matched. At this time I have no reason to not believe that this is the correct color. Below is a picture of the car with single stage L04I. I t has not been wet sanded and polished yet.Attached Image

Any suggestions are always welcome..
