Ok....I'll be the 1st to say.....WTH?
No idea what that rhyme has to do with a gold 914.
And I've been around awhile.

Color change from white (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
Edit : I say white because of the borders, but now I see the blue in the dots...

Doesn't look to be a tamper proof sticker... Mine also has "Type Passenger Car" as the top line. Don't know if all years had that though.

I am not usually this vague...sorry for the mystery. This one smells 'fishy'...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Porsche-914/1...Fcr&vxp=mtr

Seller says its the original color...not by the looks of that ratty label, which almost looks like a photocopy its so rough.

How do you explain the blue behind the
compliance sticker ? .......there's a masking line around the whole thing.
Seller should provide the color code on the Karmann tag.
He's a Austin Healey guy.
Good eye Dave

If it smells like fish, do as you wish... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I think the reference is to the seller stating all paint on the "jams", trunk, engine compartment, etc. is original, yet that sticker sho' looks to have been taped for a spray job. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)

Edit: What Rory said...

I'm not sure if thats gold or surface rust but you can see what appears to be gold on the inside of the front fender.

We already have creamsicles, bumblebees, and even grasshoppers.

From now on, are all cars that color called "goldfish?" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Yep, original paint.
Kinda.
Take it from the expert salesman.
What a hoot.
