I wouldn’t take it if it was free. It would cost as much to restore this chassis as it would to just buy a complete LE.

30 bids @ $760

Which member here can admit they are bidding this? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

This could be used as a sweet grill and ice chest though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jsharp.gif)

Not for $760 unless you like to throw money away.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) someone that couldn't be bothered to provide important details would most likely do that and for f#cks sake give it a clean, can't tell the dirt for the rust.....or is it all just rust (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Kinda reminds me of a Charlie Brown Christmas. The difference between them and ours is primarily caring about it. Even if I knew it was hopeless I wouldn’t want it to get worse. Maybe that is the emotion that sells welders.

Looks like LT did take the Fuchs off the car before putting on ebay.

We'll see an ad soon, "original owner selling an ultra rare set of 4 lug Fuchs with excellent period correct tires for $2000"....

Just post the VIN here.

Jeff may want to record it for his LE registry

"V.I.N. 47429154XX It is exactly in line with 914LE registry there is absolutely no question whether this is real! I have had 3 other LE's and it is easy to tell the difference if you know the differences-Again rusty rusty! but it does have original paint"

I know you are reading this Mikliam, but you don't post these questions on ebay just your opinions, so I will post this here. The ONLY means to authenticate an LE is with a COA, because anything on a 914 LE can be faked. Posting a portion of the VIN does not validate this car, as there are a number of Light Ivory 74 2.0L (and L041 cars) in the known VIN range, that are not authentic LE's. The known LE tribute car VINs are also posted on the LE Registry.

With the COA, its authentic - you do not have a COA. With the full VIN, PCNA can be contacted to verify its authenticity as proof. No one besides PCNA can authenticate it, and only PCNA issues the COA, everything else is just an opinion.
