I have a fully rebuilt and fully operational set of 914-6 Period correct 40IDTP13C and C1 carbs that I am going to reinstall on my 914-6 3.0 for the purpose of developing video data of the carbs in running operation prior to offering them for sale herein. (I am currently running a loner set of IDA's to compare power and performance thru the range.....)
These booties....... (mispelled on purpise - three times...) have been in service on my 6 for approximately 4000 miles and are the articles that are required of the "purist" build on a true 6. The carb have tight shafts, butterfly's are new and properly set and pegged, and the jetting and innards will likely be 34mm / 175 / F3 / 135 / 65's on each - and some adjustment may be made for my larger displacement motor from what an original 6 was set up with. After filming the carb set running on my car thru the range of rpm's to redline, i will take the carbs off and pack them for a sale and delivery. the carbs will include new gaskets, diaphragm, jetting, etc. I dont know what they are worth but I know they are well built and electrostatically cleaned (twice) and have my car's trips on the open road to places from our home at the beqach to the high desert and thru many different weather conditions. If there is a preliminary interest, PM me and I will develop a list of interested parties to ping when they are back on my car for the filming sessions. Pricing to follow research what the concour guys and the 911 nuts are offering for a near-perfect of period correct numbered carbs. I will upload pix when I get out of this slow-assed airport connection in San Jose...... Sidebar: If local, I can arrange a test drive with the carbs installed just to prove out the offer. |
