It a sad story that isn’t going to be told today, but I needed to replace my pistons and cylinders on the 3.0. So what is there to do with them. Sell them to some fool on eBay or craigslist?
I’m thinking maybe they could be the bases for some kind of art. Maybe a pen holder for my desk. Anyone got some original ideas? |

$1200 to have them Nikasil plated and about the same for new JE pistons, so ballpark $2400 for a brand new set of 9.5 or 10.5:1 piston and cylinders.
Cheaper than a new set P&C mahles or nickies. If you want I can see what price I can get this done for, PM me if interested. For replating it doesn't matter if they are nikasil or alusil. Below is my set 3.0 with 10.1:1 new RSR style Mahle pistons Around 4-5 years ago this would have been a $5K+ set, that I did for $2600.
