Maybe someone is looking for these,

A shop in Germany sells new 914 Lexan body's at 11,95 euro's a pop, not too bad I guess.
he also sell's the decal sheets with it.

wheelbase is 240 mm width is 170 mm

They make a nice toy I guess (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif)

We tried to do a group buy on these a few years ago. So an order for a couple hundred or so was put in, but it fell through because the quality was bad. Word was, the molds were destroyed after that. These look like the same bodies but who knows. The original was also for the Tamiya M-chassis.

Someone on the RCZone board PMed me that they bought a couple of 1/10 RC 914s. Seems they are resurfacing again.

I ordered 2 of these last week and got 'em today
I think these are the original Carson bodies - they have the Carson stiskers on (#13284)
I also ordered 2 decal sheets, they're also from Carson (#69133)

In my opinion they're worth the money (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif)

Isn't the Tamiya M chassis front-wheel-drive?

Isn't the Tamiya M chassis front-wheel-drive?

From a post from a couple years back:

----------------------------------------------------
There are 3 Taymia M-series kits that will fit this body. The M-02L, M-03L and M-04L. The M-02L is sort of a cheesy design with a single horizontal shock for both front and both rear wheels, and will probably handle fairly crappy because of that. Unfortunately, that is the chassis that the 911 and Boxster sit on (the 911 and Boxster would otherwise be good choices because they come with Porsche wheels - Turbo Twist). The M-03L chassis is front motor, front wheel drive - which should be OK, but I prefer rear wheel drive. I'm also not sure about body fit on this chassis since this chassis can only take the new Mini Cooper body and not any of the other M-chassis bodies. The M-04L chassis is by far the best of the three. It comes with 2 different kits: The Honda S2000 (kit #58236), and the BMW M-Roadster (kit #58240). Only drawback to these would be the non-Porsche wheels. But you can buy the Porsche Turbo Twist wheels separately if thats what you would prefer (or dozens of other styles for that matter).

I wish someone on the board made RC bodies. This would make a sweet 190mm car (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I got one of those (including decals) a couple of years ago when a member of the Dutch 914 club did a group buy
It's still sitting on a shelf untouched (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Paul, the bodies are light, but the cassis that fits'em could use a bit of mini-sawz-all work. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sawzall-smiley.gif)

Ok, it seems a few people are interested. I've emailed the company for a quote of the body and decals. I'll let you know what happens. If things go well, I'll have them shipped here and I'll distribute them out to individuals. Maybe a West Coaster can accept the responsibility of distributing to the wrong coast guys (and gals).

Cross your fingers and (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/givemebeer.gif)

PS: Mike, you will be asked to pay double as payback for the emails about your shirts. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
