Where should the VIN plate in the front trunk be located . Front trunk wall or side ?

I'm pretty sure its:
- '75/'76 BUB cars had them on the fire wall
- earlier cars on the headlight bucket

First time I've seen a Ball-valve shut off utilized for a vehicle fuel system; clean work (as usual) Jim !
