I installed these springs in my V8 914 last week...
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-20876-1542649105.1.jpg) I believe them to be 100# springs and they did put the ride height exactly where I wanted it (the car was a little low for me with the stock springs). I was surprised, however, that they were shorter than the stock springs... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-20876-1542649106.2.jpg) I had always thought that 100# springs were the same height as stock springs, just with thicker wire. Thanks, George.
I was going for a near stock look with the nose down a little rather than up. These springs gave me what I was looking for. The car will never be a great handler due to my desire to not modify the body and to have stock looking wheels and tires (but it sure does scoot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ). It looks like this now... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-20876-1542658212.1.jpg) A little hard to get the full effect with the bumpers, valances and rocker covers off. |
